Lobe pumps are specially designed for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries.

Lobe pumps are used in all process industries where hygiene is paramount. All parts that come into contact with the liquid are designed and manufactured according to international standards in AISI 316 stainless steel. Its performance is directly proportional to the pump's rotation speed. With a wide range of applications for hygienic and non-corrosive processes, it easily fulfills its pumping duties.

Mrt Process lobe pumps, specially developed for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and other industries requiring hygiene, are low-maintenance, high-performance, and compact pumps. Its rotor, developed with a specific geometric shape, minimizes product acceleration in the pump chamber. As a result, the complete performance and reduced NPSH value provide a homogeneous, quiet, and abrasive-free flow. 

The low-friction characteristic of Platech lobe pumps enables efficient transfer without damage to viscous to semi-plastic liquids, as well as liquids containing particles, sludge, pastes, foams, and gas/liquid mixtures. By creating a modular design, special pump structures can be tailored for precise tasks, providing the optimal balance of price and performance. Different combinations of pump head heights, rotor configurations, and sealing parts allow the transfer of various liquids without damaging the product.

SHAFT SEALING

In collaboration with globally renowned sealing element producers, Platech lobe pumps have developed mechanical shaft seals. To ensure optimal cleaning, these sealing elements are installed on the pump as standard. Cleaning of the entire sealing area is provided by spraying cleaning liquid (flushing) at wide intervals located on the seal, thus preventing product buildup and bacterial growth. CIP cleaning method is suitable. Standard sealing elements consist of stainless steel and carbon materials. If necessary, these sealing elements can be produced from tungsten carbide and silicone carbide. Types of alternative sealing elements include single or double seals (flushing or standard), O-ring seals, lip seals, or seal ring assemblies.    

Assembly

The pump can be operated by the upper or lower shaft without the need to disassemble the shaft components. Some models can be inverted, and the mounting feet can be reattached to the previously drilled holes on the opposite side. The Platech lobe pump can be equipped with the front cover, as well as the hygienic pressure relief valve and heating jacket.
