Our extensive line of HT and AHT heat exchangers of the Basco Type boast the advantages of not containing iron in the standardized design at a high level for maximum flexibility with minimum costs. They possess the advantages of shell design, high corrosion resistance, maximum intake of a precise diameter pipe, and providing better productivity, inlet velocity, and lower pressure drop due to the shell vault jet.
The HT type heat exchangers have been produced since 1965. Standard HT models feature a brass body, brass tube and flat pipe layer at low cost, with a structure free from iron. The hoods are made of cast iron. There are several options including special materials and nipple guidance.
The Type AHT heat exchangers are constructed of 316 stainless steel and have multiple configurations. Modified units are suitable for critical services where excessive cleanliness conditions are mandatory. Among the options, joint welding is included on polished surfaces for pharmaceutical and food processing applications, as well as tube plate joints.
The HTR and AHTR types feature a removable tube bundle design that allows cleaning alongside the shell and replacement of the assembly, which is rarely encountered in small-sized, low-cost designs where tube surfaces are typically fixed. There are also designs that do not contain iron or stainless steel.
