The Basco OP design, first introduced to the market in 1962, has proven to be the preferred TEMA shell and tube heat exchanger in the market. The 'OP' or 'O-ring Protection' design features a removable tube bundle, a unique toothed O-ring protector that allows for the removal of the reverse hood without draining the liquid from the body or interfering with the tube and connection flexibility. Removing the channel cover allows for full control and cleaning of the tube side.
FEATURES
Dimensions: Diameter between 3" and 42"; length between 12" and 360" (available with increments of 12").
Shells: Carbon steel or 304 stainless steel.
Tubes:
- * Available in 3/8", 5/8", or 3/4" diameter, made of carbon steel, copper, admiralty, 90/10 or 70/30 CuNi, 304 S/S, or titanium.
- * Tube plate configurations: Precision-perforated carbon steel, brass, or stainless steel baffles.
- * Channel heads and bonnets in steel.
Flow: Designs also include 1-pass, 2-pass configurations.

BASCO DOUBLE O-RING COVER PROTECTION
It allows for expansion and contraction without tension or mixing of trace liquids from tube and shell, and cable. The O-rings protect against compression and are not affected by vibration and temperature changes. Witness holes reveal leaks.
